Dr. Rawal has done his M.D. in Preventive and Social Medicine and M.D. in Psychiatry. He has served Department of Health and Family Welfare Government of Gujarat for 37 years in different capacities such as Additional Director Medical Education and Research, Director State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Joint Director AIDS Control Cell etc. He is a public health expert with veteran experience in training, methodology, research and evaluation. He had been instrumental to develop Gujarat State Health Perspective Plan 2010 and recently he contributed to ICMR study on life style and health issues in Gujarat. He has acted as professor as well as Dean in different medical colleges in Gujarat.
